Aviation Projects is pleased to announce that our resident Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) Sharna Tonkin recently attended as guest speaker to the Women in Aviation International (WAI) Australian chapters' Emerging Leaders Forum, held in Cairns.
Sharna has been a valued member of our team since 2022, during which her role as ARO has been vital to upholding the safety of ongoing operations at a local bustling aerodrome.
The WAI Australian chapter is a community of women in the aviation industry who volunteer to connect, engage and inspire the next generation of aviation professionals, in addition to providing platforms for current industry participants to continue to develop and excel in their chosen field.
Throughout the year, WAI Australia holds an Emerging Leaders Forum (EML) hosted at multiple locations throughout the country. The EML is an opportunity for women in the aviation and aerospace industry to network, develop tools and strategies, and inspire future generations while fostering a leadership mindset.
We are incredibly proud to have Sharna representing our organisation in such an important space.
