Aviation Reimagined Webinar Series - Griffith University

Aviation Reimagined is an annual webinar series featuring industry leaders, policymakers and researchers sharing their insights about transitioning to a low-carbon future for aviation. 

On Thursday 20th October 2022, Keith Tonkin cofacilitated Session 4 (of the 6 part series): Transforming Our Airports, alongside Dr Emma Whittlesea of Griffith University.

This Webinar explored airport innovation and advancements towards zero net emissions and included presentations from Airports Council International (ACI), Royal Schiphol Group and Christchurch International Airport.

Emissions from air travel account for 3% of all greenhouse gas emissions globally. 

Presentations explored the integration of aviation sustainable energy sources, utilising science based targets and moving beyond carbon neutrality in the journey towards sustainable airports.
