Today marks day three of Airport Safety Week, an annual collaboration between the Australian Airports Association (AAA) and the NZ Airports Association (NZ Airports).
Airport safety week aims to engage employees and contractors within the aviation sector in order to highlight the importance of safety and awareness throughout aerodromes and their communities.
In alignment with emphasizing the importance of aerodrome safety and awareness, Aviation Projects would like to take the opportunity to welcome Aerodrome Reporting Officer, Sharna Tonkin, who brings over six years experience working in an remote indigenous community of the Torres Strait, to the team.
Sharna's skills range from Aviation Protection Officer, Work Health and Safety Representative and DAMP Collections to Airport Operations Coordination and Aerodrome Reporting.
Based at Redcliffe Aerodrome, an integral part of Sharna's role as Aerodrome Reporting Officer is safety and awareness. Sharna provides onsite specialist knowledge and advice to key aviation stakeholders in order to ensure the ongoing safety and security of the area.
Welcome to the team, Sharna!
